Age 79, passed away peacefully on Thurs. April 12, 2018. In his last days he was surrounded by family and his pastors. Born on April 26, 1938, Arden spent his childhood living and working on his parents farm in Prentice, WI. Arden served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 and was a member of The 101st Airborne Division. Arden is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia (nee Yops), three children, Kimberly (Brian) Labinski, Brian (Wendy) and Jeffery (Heidi), his grandchildren, Nicole (Charles) Smith, Kelli, Kayla, Cory, Rachel, Kaitlin and Miles, his great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah, Abner and Arden. He is further survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Marvin (Pat) Meye, Carol Meye, Arland (Nancy) Meye, Dennis (Janice) Meye, Brothers-in-law, Roy Yops and Bruce Yops, nieces, nephews and other family. Arden is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Clara Meye, his parents-in-law, Elroy and Vernice Yops, brother Duane Meye, brothers and sister-in-law, Bud and Bonnie Reiter, John Yops and great-granddaughter, Olive Smith. The family would like to thank the pastors of Salem Lutheran Church, the hospital staff of Community Memorial and Horizon Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held on Sat. April 21 at Salem Lutheran Church, 6840 N. 107th St., Milwaukee, WI at 11 AM. Visitation at the Church from 9:30 until the time of the Service. Burial will follow at West Granville Cemetery, Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the family or Salem Lutheran Church.
