John Dexheimer Riesch of Germantown, WI went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 26th at the age of 87. He was born to Louis and Amelia Riesch on August 23, 1930 and grew up in Slinger, WI. Following graduation from UW-Madison Medical School and residency at Milwaukee County Hospital, John practiced medicine in Menomonee Falls, WI for nearly sixty years up until the day of his passing. He remained passionate about medicine his entire adult life.

John is survived by three children, Catherine (Mike) Coyle, Timothy (Corey) Riesch, and Terry (Judy) Riesch as well as step-children Paula (Scott) Koss and Grant Stanfield. He was blessed with eleven grandchildren: Molly (Vince Hunt) Coyle, Adam Coyle, Danny (Maureen) Coyle, Patrick Riesch, Jonathan, Jacob, & Casey Riesch, Harrison & Everett Koss, and Elizabeth & JP Stanfield as well as two great-grandchildren, Murphy and Calleigh Coyle.

John was preceded in death by siblings Kenneth Riesch, Otis Riesch, & Louis Riesch, Jr. and by his wife Virginia (Kellenberg) Riesch. His sister, Dr. Anna Lou Riesch, resides in Colorado.

Visitation will be Friday, April 6th from 3:30 pm to 6 pm at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls with a Memorial Service immediately following at 6 pm. Memorial gifts may be directed to Hill Point Church at 2500 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, WI or to the charity of your choice.
