June 19, 1971 - March 9, 2018

Paul Anthony Sanchez, age 46, passed away unexpectedly into the arms of God on Friday, March 9th, 2018.

Paul will be forever loved by his wife and best friend of over 20 years, Jill (nee Birschbach). Devoted and cherished father of Natalie, Dominic, Gabe, and Luke. Dearest son of Jesse and Christine Sanchez (nee Hirtz). Cherished brother of Andy (Leslie), Eric (Joelle), Brian Sanchez, and Abby (Dave) Barrett. Deeply loved by Jill’s parents, Stan and Edie Birschbach; and her siblings, Brian (Edita) Birschbach; Ann (Marc) Edmunds; Brett (Sheri) Birschbach; and Staci (Jay) Salzmann.  Loved uncle of Lily, Carson, RJ, Katka, Nicholas, Livia, Makena, Ella, Sophie, Aaron, Eli, and Devyn. Endeared nephew of Terri and Bill Lusk and Marti and Rod Henke.  Admired cousin of Liz (Pete) Muenks and Reggie, Regis, and Remi Henke. Preceded in death by Walter & Gladys Hirtz and Matthew Hirtz.  Loved by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Paul attended elementary school at St. Margaret Mary school in Milwaukee and graduated from Marquette University High School in 1989.  Paul graduated from Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI in 1993.  Paul was a parish member of St. Jude the Apostle in Wauwatosa.

Paul worked as a sales representative for 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry and then spent the next part of his career coaching youth for Milwaukee Kickers.  Coaching soccer was a life-long passion beginning with coaching his siblings in the backyard, working at summer soccer camps, and coaching his children’s teams.  Paul was a beloved soccer coach to countless youth over many years.

Paul was truly a compassionate man devoted to his wife Jill and his children. In life, his most treasured role was being a father.  His kids were the light of his life and this was evident in all that he did.

Paul had the uncanny ability to play any musical instrument he picked up.  He received this amazing gift of music from his Grandpa Walter, father Jesse, and mother Christine. It truly was a God given gift that he shared with countless people throughout his life.

Paul also had a love of magic.  Paul was the resident “Magician on Request” for elementary classes at St. Jude School, friend’s birthday parties, family, and any willing audience.  He really felt fulfilled and full hearted being able to bring a smile or a look of wonderment to someone’s face with his magic, regardless if the audience was a small child or an adult.
