John Herman Eilertson was born April 6, 1940, in Minneapolis, MN and moved to Waukesha with his family at age 10.  John graduated from Waukesha South High School, Carroll College and Luther Seminary.  He served parishes in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan and continued to live out his passion for serving others by devoting his retirement years to helping the Burmese refugee communities in Milwaukee.  John was preceded in death by his parents Einar and Doris Eilertson.  He leaves behind his wife Kay (nee Samstad) of Germantown, daughters Christine (Ryan) Bronson of Eagan, MN, and Liza  (Nathan) Blom of Parker, CO,  grandchildren Abigail,  Noah and Ford, brother Orwin (Kit) Eilertson, sister Dorine (the late Abdullah) Abdulelah as well as several nephews and nieces.

 Visitation at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, W156N8131 Pilgrim Road, Menomonee Falls on Sunday, March 18, from 1:00 until the time of service at 3:00.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Myanmar Learning Center for the Rev. John H. Eilertson Scholarships appreciated (c/o the Eilertson Family).
