Maralyn L Bantes passed peacefully on February 10, 2018 in Milwaukee WI. Born March 29, 1944 to Leonard Bantes and Margaret (nee Burgoyne) Bantes in Wausau, WI. Moved to Shiocton, WI in the late 1940’s and later to Appleton, WI. She attended Xavier High School and after graduation attended Wausau Beauty School. Shortly after graduation, Maralyn moved to Milwaukee, WI. Maralyn retired from Herslof Optical in 2016 after 44 years as a Manager. More than anything Maralyn enjoyed family, friends, and traveling having taken numerous trips to Italy, France, Netherlands, Spain, Florida, Georgia and many more destinations.

Survived by sister-in-law Gail (Nee Allen) Bantes, and nieces Mary Lynn (Nee Bantes) Greenwood, Sherry Marie (Nee Bantes) Pogrant, and nephews Timothy Allen Bantes (Rhonda) and Joel Leonard Bantes (Elizabeth), cousin Carol (John) Jalinski, and many great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Further survived by best friend Sandra Rauls and her children Chris (Steph), Jeff (Nicole), and Stacy to whom Maralyn was a second mother. Also, second mother to Jackie (Egle) Guyette (Doug), John Egle (Mary), James Egle (Marcia), and Ron (Amy) Egle. She was proceeded in death by her parents, three brothers, Edward, Richard, and Donald and an infant sister Sharon. Along with Barbara Egle and good friend Larry Rauls.

Visitation on Saturday February 17, 2018 at the Funeral Home from 11AM until the time of Memorial Service at 1PM. Private burial in Wausau, WI In lieu of flowers, memorials to Susan G. Komen for a cure appreciated.
