John H. Pyter
December 25, 1963 - January 14, 2018

Passed away in peace and comfort on January 14, 2018. John is survived by his Mother Esther Pyter, brothers Randall and Richard Pyter, and his loving sister Roberta Rajchel. He was also survived by many caring cousins, nieces, and nephews and aunts. John was predeceased by his father Henry Pyter and sister Ellen Walter. His favorite sibling was always the one that he happened to be with but actually it was Ellen who lived next door and included him in many daily activities and fun endeavors and helped him live a happy and healthy life. John was the apple of his father’s eye, who passed away early in John’s life and was not able to witness his development and many of his awesome accomplishments. John has been truly-blessed with a large number of dear friends, especially the Maloney family, Larry, Nancy, Shawn and Tim. Tim was his dearest and faithful friend and Shawn was his girlfriend for many years; the Maloney’s were like a 2nd family to him.

John worked at McDonald’s for over 20 years, was well-liked and was given a touching retirement party two years ago, ending his work career. He had a wonderful and engaging life primarily due to his amazing Mother who provided him with numerous opportunities to be with his friends, to compete in athletics and to do many other things that he loved. He earned many medals, ribbons, and trophies from his accomplishments in Special Olympics sports including, speed walking, golf, basketball and bowling. Throughout his healthy and busy life, he lived happily with a kind spirit and was especially loved by children and pets. He was a very spiritual person and believed in the existence of the Almighty and the power of prayer.

Visitation with John’s family will be at St. Pius X Parish Community, 2506 Wauwatosa Ave., Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, from 10 – 11AM on Wednesday January 17th. This will be immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate his wonderful life. Interment will be privately conducted at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum where his remains will lie forever next to those of his beloved father.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials to St. Pius X Parish Community or the National Down Syndrome Society are deeply appreciated.
