After a long courageous battle with cancer, James Patrick Doucette, 65, began a new journey on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016. Jim was born on March 1, 1951 in Milwaukee, WI to William (deceased) and Betty Doucette. He was married to Donna Jean Migazzi and they shared nearly 32 wonderful years together. Jim loved life and sharing with others. He was known for gifts he gave to his many friends through massage therapy and his inspiration to live life positively.
Along with his loving wife, Jim is survived by his two children, Marcus Alexander Doucette and Whitney Doucette-Jackson Yang; his grandson Django Alexander and seven siblings: Michael Doucette (Kathy), Jeff Doucette (Saba), Tim Doucette (Linda), Dave Doucette, Jane Schilling (Bob), Judy Natvig (Gary) and Anne Potkay.
Specific information about Jim's Celebration of Life taking place on Saturday, Dec. 3, will be shared with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Froedtert Cancer Care Center.

Donna would like to acknowledge and thank the loving support of Sally Migazzi, whose nurturing care throughout made all the difference. Her offer to drive Jim and Donna to every chemo, radiation and doctor's appointment, and her smile and love carried Jim and Donna through this difficult time. Donna would also like to thank her brother Bruce for marrying Sally (making her an integral part of the Migazzi family) and giving Donna access to her wonderful Hamann family. Bruce has always been the best big brother and filled any void left after the death of their parents. Donna would also like to thank Whitney and Chue (Whitney's husband) and Marcus for giving Donna the gift she has always wanted: loving children and a grandson who has filled her life with extra joy. Also, Donna would like to thank the Doucette family for always making her feel loved. Special thanks to Dave for the emotional support he provided to Jim and to Linda for creating culinary delights that Jim could enjoy throughout his illness. Jim and Donna are fortunate to have many friends who have helped them through this, and Donna would like to thank them for their love and support. Finally, Donna would like to thank the oncology staff at Froedhert Hospital and the staff at Zilber Family Hospice for their loving and nurturing care during Jim's illness.
