Naomi, Sue and Julie: Our love and support are with you. I'm honored that my parents chose Bill to be my godfather. He has been a positive influence for me throughout my life and I will miss him terribly. One of my fondest memories was our road trip ten years ago to Kansas City to watch some baseball between the Royals and the Cards. We were able to meet Buck O'Neil and have some baseballs signed. There are many other great memories.

Very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I worked with him fairly often when I was in radio sports (and part of the Brewers network) in Park Falls during the 1980s. He was always considerate of those of us from the tiny radio towns that broadcast the Brewers in the summers. He always took your phone call or, if you missed him, he called you back.
I recall bringing a niece and nephew to a game in the late 1980s and running into Bill in the County Stadium concourse. He asked where our seats were and, during the early innings, personally brought baseballs for both kids to where we were sitting. Bill was like that, whether you were some big business contact or just a small-town radio guy.
My condolences to Bill's family on their loss. But you can be very proud of the man he was.
