Ciolkosz Family, I think of you all often and am sending you so much love. I am so thankful that I was was able to get to know your family and Matt while nannying over the summers in college. I will always remember how smart, kind and humorous he was. How much he loved to swim, game play and just was a joy to be around. I hope all of the amazing family memories you experienced with him can bring you some smiles and laughter in the deep grief you are experiencing. Sending all my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was lucky enough to have known Matt for almost 10 years and although I never got to meet him in person, our friendship meant so much to me. His jokes, his kindness, and the way he always had advice or support to give means more to me than I can put into words. He had a way of making things lighter and he helped me through more moments than he probably realized. All the games and memories we shared will always hold a special place in my heart. I will forever be grateful for him, and I will always remember him.

I never met Matt in person but he was a great friend on Minecraft.
I’m so sorry for your loss, he was an amazing person, never failing to make me laugh or take multiple hours to explain anything to me.
Two weeks ago we were playing valheim, I drowned and he brought his boat out to help me get my stuff again. Then proceeded to ram his boat into mine on the way home lol
I’m so glad that I got to have that be the last time that I saw him but I’ll miss him.
God bless, keeping you all in my prayers.

This is hard to start.
I'm one of Matt's online friends, I only ever knew him as unix.
He shaped my life in so many ways I can't even say. He was one of the people who inspired me to major in computer science. He helped me realize who I am and who I want to become. I'm so grateful for all the time we had together.
I'll keep sharing cat pictures for him.
We're gonna miss you, nub <3

To the friends and family of Matt,
Our hearts are with you during this difficult time. My husband and I knew Matt for quite some time—my husband for ten years, and I had the privilege of knowing him for four of those years.
During that time, Matt was an incredible young man who always enjoyed lending a helping hand and sharing a good laugh. He always seemed to know what to do in crazy situations and had a special way of lifting everyone’s spirits. He loved cracking jokes and playing games with everyone whenever he could.
Matt was inspiring, talented, kind, and endlessly encouraging, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the chance to know him.
We miss and love you so much, Matt. Wherever your adventures take you, be safe

Whatever it is that happens after death, I hope you get to know how loved you were in life. Your death has sent massive waves through the Cubeville community. I will miss the random pings and youtube videos you'd send. I wish nothing but the best for your family and friends as we learn to cope without you. Much love, BNM <3

Matt's friendship means a lot to me and I am deeply saddened by his passing. We spent 7 years as part of a Minecraft community together.
In that time we played many games, had deep conversations about technology, and he inspired me to look into learning Linux, Java, and networking,
as well as explore other technologies. Matt was always eager to show the projects he was working on in his lab and this helped me realize that these were fields I was invested in.
He always knew the right Spongebob quote to fit any situation and always knew how to make everyone in the group laugh.
I will always cherish these memories and I miss him very much already. I pray for his soul, family, and close friends.

To the friends and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Matt was an amazing friend of mine for close to 10 years, and I'll always look back fondly on all the time we spent together; from simply laughing and chatting, to all the late night shenanigans we got up to, I'm grateful for the time we had. I don't have the words to properly express how much Matt meant to me, but I think this quote does it justice:

We will miss Matt very much at the library. He had a big, beautiful personality and we looked forward to seeing him almost every day and sometimes twice daily. He was our "Music Man." Our deepest condolences to all.

My condolences to the Ciolkosz family. I taught Matt and his siblings at Woodside Elem. School. Matt was one of those kids coming into the gym with a smile on his face every class. Prayers to your family.

I never got to meet Matt in person, but have known him over the last ten years through our minecraft gaming community. We were players together, staff members together, frequently working on projects together and sharing our base and resources. We spent countless hours in voice chats laughing, crying, venting, and having fun. He did not share a lot of his personal life with the overall community, but I am thankful to have been his friend and I will miss his jokes, teasing, and constant sending of reddit cat photos. We will miss him immensely. He brought so much to our community. To his family and friends: I am so so sorry for the loss you are dealing with, please know that Matt made a huge impact on our community and server, and we will miss him so much.
