Things everyone knew grandpa loved: sports, math, and his family. He always would give us grandkids math quizzes and took opportunities to come to our sports games and other activities to show his support. I’ll miss Christmases with him, his funny one liners, and especially miss the way he held my hand when he greeted me and when I was leaving.

Growing up Grandpa would always get breakfast in Fond du lac at the Schreiner's restaurant to catch up! It was great to hear about his current tutoring students and talk about the latest sports.

I also remember where he would make the trip up to Ripon and even farther for volleyball games--where he would always give honest feedback on how the game was and how I played. Which was always appreciated and made me a better player! He even surprised me at a tournament or two :).

I will miss him dearly!
