Viola Marie "Vi" Ament
August 20, 1929 - April 6, 2024
In memory of our Vi, the sweetest and kindest friend and neighbor who we loved dearly. Vi would always get a kick out of my furbaby Lucy who would visit her. Vi always had dog treats at the ready. Vi was a caring friend and neighbor of Barb’s. She would always check on her and call if the garage door remained open. Everytime my Mom (Barb) decorated her fence, Vi would always call and say “I love the fence Barb.” Vi will be greatly missed and will leave a hole in our hearts that we will fill with memories. Rest in peace dear Vi. I’m sure there was a line waiting to greet you. You were simply the best. Heaven gained an angel.

The reference to savory hot beef, made us smile!

Vi was a "boy mom", and as most "Boy Moms" know, the secret to a man or son's heart is his stomach!

The memories we make around traditions and the taste and smell of the food our mother's make, are instilled deep within us. So Vi took pride and showed her love by making her son's favorite foods.

Vi knew that her "Bobby and Mark" loved her savory hot beef. When Jim and her boys went to Canada fishing, so did Vi's savory hot beef. It made it through customs, and was devoured before the Mounties could check the refrigerator for fish. Bob always said, "my mom made this special for us"!

When Jim, Bob and Mark went to Canada fishing, Jim's mom had already passed away. It was very special to him also because his Mother's name was Vi too!

A mother's love was felt by 3 grown men, who were taken back to their childhood as they ate savory hot beef after a long day of fishing. I like to think that those heavenly tastes and smells are being enjoyed now by 3 Ament men and a very special, "Boy Mom". Together Again.

Our deepest sympathy

I met Vi in 2006 while our condos were being built on Stillwater Lane. We were condo neighbors. I was so lucky to have Vi for a neighbor. We became great friends and had many great times together. Vi was a beautiful person who loved everyone she met. I feel so fortunate to have had such a giving loving friend. Rest in peace Vi ! I will never forget you ! Thanks for the memories. With much love, Maggie

Vi was such a sweet and funny person! She would babysit my daughter every once in a while, and I always felt so relieved to know that she was in loving hands when she was with Vi. We will not forget the many happy memories we have of her.

Vi I only met you once by Darlene's, but we had a good talk. You're now with your husband and your boys. God Bless you and Dance with the angels.

Vi & her husband Bob were wonderful friends with my parents for years. I grew up knowing their son's Bob and Mark as well as daughter in law Darlene. My husband and I visited Vi in 2022 when we went to WI for my 50th class reunion. My goal was to visit her and spend time with her while taking her to Culver’s and visiting her condo. My heart goes out to Vi’s family at this most difficult time. I know she is free of pain and suffering and enjoying her reuniting with husband Bob, son Bob, son Mark PLUS my parents Norm and Dorothy. RIP Vi sending love and hugs to family and friends
