Favorite memories:

Childhood - sharing a bunk bed and telling jokes to fall asleep.

Later - many May trips to the Indy 500 time trials with all the cousins - lots of fun for a long weekend.

Love to brother Tom, Katie and family,

Dear Family,
My memories of Tom are mostly from our younger days. After college, I was out here and for a time in Madison.
But when we were all on Cramer Street, Tom was always fun, interesting, full of ideas on how to fix the world, cars, adventures and his many friends. Always active, always pushing the envelope, never accepting convention without his own personal analysis. He was the one in our family who would have gone to the North Pole, explored the Amazon, invented a new source of energy and raced at Indy if given the chance. He inspired the same questioning attitude in his amazing children.
The world would be a lot better if there were more folks who looked under the Emperor’s cloak, questioned the authorities and did their own thing, as Tom did. He was his own, very self-confident, person and an admirer of those who ventured outside the envelope, succeeding or failing, but worth the try.
His admiration of Dylan, a man way before his time who put reality squarely in front of his audience, was applause for a thinker, a questioner, a man who marched to the beat of his own drum, just like Tom.
I will miss his spirit and enthusiasm. Ed

My heartfelt condolences to Tom's family, most of whom I've met at one time or another through AJ. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of him is the twinkle in his eye and his absolute delight in witty repartee. Having always met him in the context of family events, it always warmed my heart to see the love and joy and pride just burst out of him. He will live on in the twinkle in all your eyes.
