I remember Mary with much fondness from over the years. Her quick wit and laughter, not too many like her! she will be greatly missed.

Rick, thank you for streaming that wonderful service today. A memory of Aunt Mary: last year she requested “Christmas cookies with sugar free frosting” so mom (Eunice) and I cut/baked/decorated and then mom packed them up for shipping. I heard these cookies were rationed and enjoyed :)

Mary and I were cousins. Our mothers were sisters (Blanche and Ruth). The last time I saw Mary was in 2012. Even though we had not seen each other as adults, we did spend time as kids at family reunions and other family gatherings. I will always remember her as outgoing, friendly and having a great sense of humor. Rest in peace cousin.

Dear Rick,
We're so sorry to read about Mary's passing. I just want you to know that you're in our thoughts and prayers but we won't be able to attend her service. Herbs 89 now and I won't get him in any groups. He's not doing that well and needs to stay at home.
With love,
Herb and Sharon

Others have already said it before/below - our beloved Aunt (and my Godmother) Mary lit up a room with her smile, laughter & just fun self. After she & Rick moved to MI in the early 90's we certainly saw each other more, but I will forever miss you Aunt Mary - and I STILL tell the story of you opening that unopened bottle of GP MJ's whiskey at mom's house one nite! Will also miss your late nite calls!! I know these past few years have been hard on you & Rick, and for that I'm truly sorry, but hoping the suffering has ended and you've moved onto a better place. I'm just sorry the last time we saw each other was Linda's funeral (August /14?)...at least I was able to bring you a meal and we got to talk in person. Love MJ

Rick, our deepest condolences. Please know that you are forever in our thoughts and prayers. Mary was always a joy to be around and could light up the room with her presence. We will always cherish our time spent with her. Allison and Adam fondly remember decorating the Christmas tree with her and Easter eggs and looked forward to that every year. We appreciate her wit and humor. Rest in peace, Mary. Love, Randy, Pam, Allison and Adam Steinberg

Rick,

We are so saddened by Mary’s passing. She was beaming, always happy and joyous, and that was partly because of what an amazing husband you were. You both were very special together, and always fun (Igor’s). We will miss her and will remember her special ways. We love you!

Just the mention of Mary’s name makes me smile. She added so much joy and humor to life. The veterans in our country could not have asked for a better nurse, she must have been a balm to so many. Deepest condolences to Rick and all of her family for their loss.
