Dear Mary and family,

I cherish the memory of the 1st time in your home at special mtg time in the spring of '75. I was there alone for a meal and tho we had never met each other there was a feeling of acquaintance because we had a common bond and fellowship thru the gospel. You were a busy mother but so kind and hospitable. It meant a lot to me. There are other times since then that are also special memories of you and Ed...one of the most is the visit mainly between you two and Carl just two months before Carl passed away at Erwin Hoest' funeral and he left
from there feeling so thankful and encouraged by the visit. He was also feeling for Ed regarding his health. Thankful for the good finish of them both and the fullness of joy they both have. It's so hard too because it's so so final. Wishing you strength and courage for the journey ahead. It does come. Wishing to be there tomorrow but it isnt seeming wise for me to come.
Love and heartfelt sympathy. Oleva

I'm glad I had the privilege of being in your home in '16 when I had my home visit. I vividly remember Carl telling Laurel and me about you in '73...we were so happy to hear about you. But I didn't know you, really, until '16 when i had a little time in your home. Thank you for your faithfulness all these years. My sympathy and love to the family...I know you will miss Ed so much. May you know the comfort of a kind and loving Father who understands well the woes of His children.

I wish I had words that could help ease the pain of this loss even a little bit. Ed was a gentle and kind man, and will be so missed.

Our sympathy on the passing of Ed. We enjoyed getting to know Ed and Mary quite a few years ago. So grateful for steady and true friendships.

We well remember 1973 and Carl & Kenneth’s mission where we met a very special little family. Little did we know that years later we’d be privileged to meet with Adria & Caleb. Ed was a dear man, and he’ll be keenly missed. Sending love and sympathy to you all.
