Todd, I see your Hope in the Lord. We grieve but not as the world grieves. Laina is safe and whole with the Lord. Your life is a model to us all of looking to the Lord in the midst of suffering. The Lord is near.

My happiest memory of Laina was when we went on a mission trip in the city. I was recently off crutches from a broken ankle and was having trouble walking around. The group had decided to go for a few mile walk and I was moving so much slower than the rest of the group. Laina walked with me the whole way going slow with my pace. We talked and laughed and it will always stick in my mind. I had planned to call her while she was sick and it was my biggest regret. I pray for the family and send my love to a beautiful soul I look forward to seeing in the Lords house.
