Bruce H. McGarigle
July 26, 1932 - September 6, 2016

Beloved husband, father & grandfather, avid golfer and a proud Scot, was translated to eternal life on a sunny, fall-morning on Tuesday, September 6th at the age of 84.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Karen J. (Johnson).    He was a native and longtime resident of Wauwatosa, graduating from Wauwatosa High School, Class of ’50. He served in the U. S. Army in Korea and Japan. Upon returning home he attended UW-Madison earning a B.S. in Art Education. He used his art ability as an advertising salesman with the Yellow Pages published by L.M. Berry & Co. and later with AT&T. For 32 years he called on businesses of all kinds and sizes all over the city of Milwaukee and throughout the state of Wisconsin. He enjoyed golfing, driving his car, reading fiction and watching westerns. He was a longtime member of Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church and the Saint Andrew's Society of the City of Milwaukee.

He is survived by his son James McGarigle (Kristine) of Wausau, WI and daughter Kristin Socci of Portland, CT. From Heaven he will watch over his grandchildren: Jacklyn, Jennifer, Jasmine, and Colin McGarigle and step-grandchildren Alex and Norma Socci. He will be greatly missed by his brothers Donald M. (Margaret) McGarigle of Treasure Island, FL and Alan J. (Marlene) McGarigle of Wauwatosa and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald D. and Mildred (Schultz) McGarigle of beloved memory and his talented son-in-law Charles S. Socci. He will also be missed by many other members of the McGarigle, Johnson, Nelson, Jensen and Socci families and all of the friends he has made over his lifetime.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 16th at Mount Carmel Lutheran Church, 8424 W. Center St., Milwaukee.   Visitation 9 – 11 A.M.,  Service – 11 A.M.  Burial at Highland Memorial Park, 14875 W. Greenfield Ave., New Berlin, WI  following lunch.
