Found peace on June 19, 2016 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Schmitz. Loving mother of James Payne (Yvonne Larsen), Linda (Kenneth) Goebel and Yvonne "Faith" Kloss and the late Arlene Payne. Dear grandmother of Judith, Debra, Kenneth, James Jr., Shawn, David, Josh, Alan, Cyrus and Angela. Further survived by great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by a brother, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation Thursday, June 23, 2016 at St. Vincent Pallotti Parish-West, 201 N. 76th Street, Milwaukee from 10AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Burial to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Vincent Pallotti Parish appreciated. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at St. Camillus Health Care Center for providing loving care to Irene.
