Raninen, Arnold B. (Arni) passed on to Eternal life on Thursday, July 25th, in the comfort of his home at the age of 95. Originally from the Upper Peninsula Michigan, Arnold graduated from Michigan University later receiving his Masters degree from the University of Delaware. In 1943 he married Mildred Gebhardt and began work as an engineer for Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland with teams responsible for designing military missile tracking and weapon sights. Moving to Milwaukee in 1951, Arnold took an engineering position with General Motors at the Delco Electronics plant, eventually becoming their Quality Control Manager. His work included overseeing the navigation system for the Apollo Space program. After 30 years he retired in 1981 and enjoyed his retirement for 32years!

Arnold was a devoted longtime member at Bayshore Lutheran Church serving many years on the church counsel.

Loving husband to Mildred (nee Gebhardt) for 70 years. Father of Carol Fetherston (Tom), Bill Raninen (Jenny). Grandfather to Jennifer Siefert (Scott), Robert Meyer (Nicole), Lisa Martin (Matt) and Jeremiah Simos (Jessica). And GreatGrandfather to Luke, Dylan, Emily, Benjamin, Katie, Ella, James and Jett.

As a member of the North Shore Country Club Since 1965, Arnold fulfilled his passion for golf by golfing at every opportunity presented to him and golfed his age several times. He truly enjoyed all his golfing buddies and golfing shenanigans.

Services Wednesday July 31 at 6:00 PM at the FUNERAL HOME. Entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park. Visitation Wednesday from 4:00 PM until time of services.
