Ramona D. Carlson of Oconomowoc was born into eternal life Saturday, September 22, 2012, at the age of 92. She was the loving mother of Roger (Linda) Carlson, Clifford (Lynn) Carlson, Stanley (Sharon) Carlson, Lyman (Dee) Carlson, Bruce (Bonnie) Carlson, Marilyn (Terry) Wolfe, Douglas (Melinda) Carlson, and Jan (Jim) Mihal. She was a proud Grandma, Great Grandma, and Great-Great Grandma.
She is further survived by her sister Carol (Kenny) Carlson, sister-in-law Helen Klundt, and brother-in-law Russell Carlson and many other relatives and many friends, especially Maren Carlson, Caroline DuPuis, Gloria Hohenwald, Ruth Monis, Mildred Wearing and the Dan Schwefel family. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Violet Johnson, beloved husband Franklin Carlson, cherished daughter Catherine, sister Ethel Buckman, and brother Dale Johnson.
After Ramona raised her children she attended WCTC where she earned her LPN degree in nursing. She was the office nurse for Dr. F. Peterson until her retirement. She loved being surrounded by her large family, crossword puzzles, and traveling the world. She enjoyed being an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, especially meeting with the Bible Study Group.
The family invites all of Ramona’s friends to join them at OUR SAVIOR’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 145 E. Lisbon Road in Oconomowoc on Thursday, September 27 from 9 AM until 10:45 AM with the celebration of Ramona’s life beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow the service at St. Luke’s Cemetery, north of Oconomowoc.
