Carl L. Hatch, age 89, of Menomonee Falls, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan-Elmbrook Memorial Hospital Brookfield, WI, after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Carl was born on June 3, 1927 to Carl H. Hatch and Lucile (Nee Burroughs) in Stevens Point.WI

Due to his father’s military service, he moved around a great deal while growing up. Near the end of WWII at the age of 17, he joined the United States Navy and was stationed aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Kearsarge. After his discharge from the Navy he moved to the Milwaukee area where he met his wife, Jane Eckel. After marrying they moved to the Sussex area, finally settling in Menomonee Falls where they raised their daughters, Susan and Amy.

Carl worked as a stone mason for many years, but finally found his true calling when he started working as in Installation Engineer for Oven Systems, Inc. He travelled all over the world supervising product installations for OSI including such locations as Japan, China, South Africa, India and many others too numerous to list, until his retirement.

He was an avid fisherman and Charter Boat Captain and for many years led fishing charters first on Big Green Lake and later on Lake Michigan working out of both Milwaukee and Sturgeon Bay, WI on his boat “Little Dipper”.

He was the beloved husband of Jane for 64 years; loving father of Susan (Stephan)Schneidler of Birchwood, TN and Amy (Louis) Larscheidt of Menomonee Falls; proud grandfather of Ryan Larscheidt of Madison, WI and Simon Larscheidt of Chandler, AZ; dear brother of Beverly Topley of Las Cruces, NM and brother in law of Sally (Ron) Greve of Watertown, WI and Marilyn Hatch of Edmonds, WA; also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Don; and brother in law, Bruce Topley.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the staff at Brookdale Brookfield Capitol Drive for the wonderful care they provided to Carl.
