(nee Wanninger), age 84, of Brookfield, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, July 21,2016 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Born in Janesville, WI, February 10, 1932, to Lawrence Wanninger and Edith (Salsgiver), she married Ralph Kurth on September 28, 1963.

Betty, a 1950 graduate of Janesville High School, worked at Wisconsin Telephone Company until moving to Milwaukee in 1952, where she worked at Oster Manufacturing and later at Sears in Brookfield and Wauwatosa, retiring in 1997.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 2007; by her father in 1989; and her mother in 1995. 

She is survived by her son, Brian (Kelley) Kurth and grandchildren Trevor and Sydney .  She is also survived by sisters, Juanita (Tom) Mowry and Connie (Mike) Glowacki, both of Janesville and other relatives and friends.

Kurth was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church for many years.  She enjoyed classical music, bowling, ironing (especially shirts), shoveling snow, mowing lawn, reading, watching TV, and spending time with family.  Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. 

Funeral Services will be held Friday July 29th at 11:00 AM  at OUR REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 10025 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM -10:45 AM.  Burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park to follow.
