Entered life eternal with the Lord Jesus Christ on May 27, 2016.

She was born on October 12, 1924, was baptized and confirmed her faith at First Lutheran Church, Rock Island, IL. Happily married her dear husband, Jack Evans Trethewey on Dec. 27, 1949. She was mother of a dear family:daughter, Sue Brewer, twin sons, Thomas and Erik (Denise), and grandmother of Brittany and Kyle Trethewey.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister, but is survived by other close relatives and friends. She was a graduate of Augustana College, Rock Island, IL with a B.A. degree, and was a graduate student at Drake University, Des Moines, IA. She served as a Recorder, Parish Secretary, Public School Teacher, Secretary, Tutor and Title 19 Specialist. Her volunteer activities included being lector at Worship Services. In lieu of flowers, donations to Luther Manor Foundation, or the church or charities of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.

The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Luther Manor Faith and Education Building

4545 N. 92nd St., Wauwatosa, WI on June 2. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., the Service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dawn Spies, Interim Pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church, Brookfield, officiating with the assistance of Pastor David Patterson and Chaplain Marian Wasierski.  Interment will take place at the National Cemetery, Union Grove, WI on June 6, at 11 a.m.
