Passed away with courage and dignity on February 7, 2016, at the age 59. He was a man of integrity and deep strength, and was a profound inspiration to his family and friends. He will be forever remembered by his wife, Mary “Mel” ( nee Langer); son Matthew, his wife Flor and daughter Illari; son Daniel, his wife Andrea and daughter Anya. Tom’s two granddaughters were the light of his life. Tom is also survived by his siblings Jim Mitchell; Faye Smallwood (Bob); Glenn Mitchell; Laura Brace (Roger); John Mitchell; Mary Cowan (Randy); and dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born in Rockford, IL on March 18, 1956 to Willis and Mary Mitchell (nee Wiegel), Tom lived in Madison, WI for many years where he raised his family. He and Mel most recently lived in Mequon, WI. Devoted to his family, Tom loved gardening and was an outstanding cook. He took great pride in his career as an executive account manager in the freight industry.   

Visitation Thursday February 11, 2016 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the FUNERAL HOME.  Visitation will continue on Friday February 12, 2016 from 10:00AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at LUMEN CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2700 W. Mequon Rd., Mequon. A luncheon will follow the mass at the church.
