Bob was truly an inspiration. Although we saw him infrequently, each time we did his courage and attitude amazed us. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. He will be missed.

Bob Gruber’s positive influence will be felt for decades. It was my very good fortune to have Bob as a close friend, colleague, and mentor during his service to the CPA profession as Chair of the Wisconsin Institute of CPAs and Chair of the WICPA Educational Foundation, as well as his service on many WICPA and AICPA committees and task forces for which Bob was awarded the WICPA Achievement Award and WICPA Spirit Award. Bob’s exceptional support of his accounting students and the CPA profession included providing legislative testimony, serving on the AICPA Future of Learning Task Force, as well as meeting with legislators, the Accounting Examining Board, and others to shape the future of the CPA profession in the most positive way. Bob will be missed and we will continue to appreciate the positive impact of his work for many decades.

To the Gruber family-Please accept my condolences. I served on the WICPA Educational Foundation board with Bob and found him to be a very friendly, caring and optimistic person. I will remember him forever and hope to live his passion for the CPA profession.

God Bless and Godspeed!

Truly sorry for your loss. I had Dr. Gruber for a professor back in 1988, he was an excellent professor and advisor. His classes were always hard but very fun. I enjoyed going to each and every class. Not sure where I would be today in accounting if not for his guidance.
