To the family and friends of Samantha Gilbert: I had the opportunity to meet Sam at UW-Madison during an academic advising meeting. She was bright, caring, and a wonderful student. She will be greatly missed at the University.
My deepest sympathies are with you, -Nikki Lemmon, Dept of Computer Sciences, UW-Madison.

I can't believe that I just saw you this past May to celebrate my brother's graduation from college and now your gone. All of us will miss seeing you at Thanksgiving dinner and having uncle Danny picking on us. I will miss you sooooooooooo much. I wish I could of made it to your visitation but due to me getting my wisdom teeth out I cannot make it. I hope our family is doing well. As some of us say, "You are in a better place now" And even though we will miss you, you will forever be in our hearts and in the heart of those who you have touched. This quote from Lord of the Rings comes to my mind cause you know me, I'm one of the geeks of this family: "Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise." Sam I hope to see you on those white shores someday, but that day won't be too soon I hope. I guess God got lucky when he chose to take you cause your the sweetest, smiliest, kindest, and funniest girl that I have had the privilege to grow up with. You will be missed. I LOVE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!! #Youloveedlifewithallyourheart #iwishihadaheartasbigasyours

My deepest sympathy for the loss of such a beautiful, intelligent, kind, generous, fun/loving,outgoing, personable, Christian young lady and bright spirit. God must have needed her more in Heaven; but her time on Earth was valued and loved by all those that had the pleasure of being in her presence. The gifts she has shared will live on forever! She will always be one of Alison's most cherished friends. They acted like sisters and it was such a joy to watch them grow into beautiful young women.
