Dr. Lloyd F. Jenk
July 16, 1919 - June 27, 2015
        

Of Wauwatosa, died peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the age of 95.  Devoted and loving husband for 64 years of the late Catherine Anne. Beloved father of Barbara Patterson, Christine (John Fox) Jenk, John (Pamela) Jenk, Mary (Patrick) Cotter and Margaret (Stephen) Shadid.  Loving grandfather of Katy (Kurt) Krueger, Laurel Patterson, John (Karen) Patterson, Leah and Austin Jenk, Meghan (Johnny) Schlueter, Stuart and Colleen Cotter, Alix and Erin Kivlin. Great-grandfather of Aidan and Morgan Patterson; Chloe  and Mae Schlueter.  Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   

Dr. Lloyd F. Jenk was born in Chesaning, MI to Christian and Frances Joehnck and grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  He graduated with the Medical Class of 1943 from the University of Iowa. He became a Psychiatrist and a Neurologist.  He served his country during WWII in the US Army.  Following the service, he moved back to Wisconsin.  He worked at the Sacred Heart Sanitarium.  In 1966, he began his own private practice.  He also served in many capacities related to his field including the President of the Wisconsin Psychiatric Society/Milwaukee Chapter, Chief of Staff at St. Michael’s Hospital, on staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Wheaton Franciscan Hospital, Milwaukee County Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital.  He was a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Society and member of the American Medical Association, Wisconsin Psychiatric Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Neurology, and the Medical Society of Milwaukee County.  Also member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus and Christ King Parish in Wauwatosa.   

Dr. Jenk was a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and his family dearly loves him.  His love of life, love of nature, sense of humor, and kindness to others will forever be cherished.   

VISITATION: Monday, July 6, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral, 10121 W. North Avenue, Wauwatosa 

VISITATION/FUNERAL: Tuesday, July 7  Visitation at 9:30 am.  Funeral Mass at 10:30 am followed by a reception in the Christ King Parish Center. CHRIST KING CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2604 Swan Blvd, Wauwatosa.  Private family burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
