Marilyn Jean Kreuser
June 6, 1932 - April 21, 2015

(nee Jewert).  Long-time resident of Wauwatosa.  Born to Eternal Life, Tuesday, April 21, 2015, age 82 years.  Beloved wife for 60 years of the late Kenneth.  Dear mother of Ellen (David) Felix, Julie Kreuser, Kathy (Al) Berendt and Michael Kreuser.  Loving grandmother of Kellie (David) Kohlmeyer, Andrea (Ben) Moravec, Kevin Barth, Lauren Felix, Allie Felix and Madeline Berendt; and great-grandchildren, Connor, Olivia Moravec and prematurely departed Kenneth Frank Kohlmeyer.  Dear sister of Dennis (Randie) Jewert and Clyde “Razz” (Donna “Bunny”) Jewert.  Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marilyn was a child of the depression era growing up in working class neighborhoods of Milwaukee, and raised her family in Wauwatosa for 24 years. Marilyn enjoyed the loving companionship of her husband Kenneth who always took great care of her.   They initially retired to Florida and finally settled at their home on Indian Lake in Sugar Camp, WI.

Marilyn loved gardening, dogs, nature, puzzles, playing a challenging game of dominoes and watching Wheel of Fortune. She always had a thirst for knowledge and enjoyed reading and travel.  The love of her lake home "The Looney Bin"' was surpassed only by her love of family.

Mom was proud of her Irish heritage, and had a philosophy of "not sweating the small stuff" by never showing fear or regret.  She led by example of embracing whatever life brought her.  She had a silly side to her, liked to sing songs and entertained with many stories of her childhood.

Visitation Thursday, May 14 from 9:30am until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00am at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC PARISH, 7474 Harwood Avenue, Wauwatosa. Private interment St. Mary’s Visitation Cemetery, Elm Grove.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to March for Babies-March of Dimes in honor of Kenneth Kohlmeyer.
