I am heart-broken to hear of Harvey's passing. I had the pleasure to work with him at WisDOT as I started my career as an engineer and he served as our District Director. What a wonderful, shining example of a terrific leader, always giving back to the profession and just a true, genuine gentleman. I will hold his family in my prayers and cherish the memories I have of this wonderful man.

It is with great sadness that I have heard of Harvey's passing. It has been my pleasure to have gotten to know Harvey and Colette through the Institute of Transportation Engineers and Harvey's service to ITE. Traveling with Harvey and Colette was a most positive experience witnessing Harvey's professionalism, character, humor and friendship. I am sure that Harvey has joined his maker in heaven and is now at peace awaiting to be united with his lifelong friend and wife.

Dear Collette and the entire Shebesta family:
I am very saddened by the loss of Harvey. He was a wonderful friend and colleague, and was very fortunate to have known him the last 22 years of his life. Through our shared interests in transportation and freeways, he shared many stories during an important and lasting part of recent southeastern Wisconsin history. Visiting him and Collette in TX during the winter is a wonderful memory, as was his Fourth of July parties. He was a dedicated public servant and a fantastic friend. I know he is in a better place, but he will always remain in our hearts and prayers. Once again, my deepest condolences. Jim

Looking back on the "good old days" and the Duncan Meter Club. We had lots of good times together! And more at Old Strafs with yearly pictures and flowers. Miss you.
