Passed away on April 19, 2015 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin at the age of 55.  Thorin is survived by his wife, Catherine Lageson, and his two daughters, Samantha and Jessica.  He is further survived by his three sisters, Lucinda Marty (St. Cloud, MN), Karen Marty (Eagan, MN), and Rebecca Marty (Bemidji, MN) and their families.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Rachel (nee Hurt) and Sophocles Marty.    

Visitation will be held at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 1615 Wauwatosa Avenue, Wauwatosa, WI Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6:30 p.m.    

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society or the Illinois Railroad Museum.
