Donald R. Skrepenski 

Of Mukwonago, was born into eternal life on March 2, 2015 at the age of 88.  Proud father of Michael (Doreen), Scott (Susan), Cathy, and Sara (Steve) Miszkiewicz.  Loving grandfather of Eric, Rebecca, Ramsey, Molly, and Anna.  Loving brother of Robert, Richard, Jim, Joe, Allan, and Betty.  He is further survived by other relatives and many friends. Don was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Skrepenski in 2009.

Don got his GED from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, he graduated from Manitowoc County Normal School in 1952, received his Bachelor's Degree from UW Whitewater in 1959, and his Master's Degree from University of Wisconsin in 1962.

Don was a Teacher and Principal in the Mukwonago Schools for many years.  He proudly served his country during WWII.  He was a longtime member and past Commander of the American Legion Post 375 and the Mukwonago VFW.

Don served on the Village Board for many years.  He was a member of the Badger Land Striders and accomplished the 50 mile Ice Age run at the age of 61.  He was very proud of the Don Skrepenski Fun Run and was a Golden Gloves boxer making it to the trials of the 1946 Olympics.The family would like to thank Linden Ridge and Linden Grove for their loving care they provided to Don and his family.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5 from 4 to 7 PM at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mukwonago.  The American Legion Post 375 will do a walk through at 6:45 PM followed by Parish prayers at 7:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 6 at 10:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church (830 County Rd NN East, Mukwonago.)  In Lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Donald’s memory.
