Each that we lose takes part of us;
A crescent still abides,
Which like the moon, some turgid night,
Is summoned by the tides.
~Emily Dickinson

When we lose one person, suddenly, the world is empty to us.

We would also like to thank the Easy Days Quartet and their predecessor, Shear Delight, for entertaining Lanny (and us) over the years. These talented gentlemen enriched Lanny's life as well as ours.

Please accept our condolences for Lanny's loss this week. Lanny has been one of our favorite friends over the years, and we've enjoyed singing and entertaining at his many themed parties. Our quartet features the Big Band music of the 30s & 40s, so it was always fun to see Lanny light up when we'd sing Les Brown's "Sentimental Journey", Duke Ellington's "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" and the Mills Bros. "Java Jive". He always laughed at our dumb stories, too which further endeared him to us! Easy Days is proud to have known Lanny and to have shared our beautiful art form with him and his guests. We're honored to have been his friend, and we will miss him....and his jokes!

We would also like to thank the Easy Days Quartet and its predecessor, Shear Delight, for their many years of entertainment to Lanny's (and our) "sheer delight." Their performances enhanced his life and ours, too.
