Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 18, 2014 at the age of 95 years.  Beloved wife of the late Robert.     Loving mother of Robert, Thomas (Gayle), Richard (Cyndi) and the late Margaret (Lewis) Toppel and Mary Joan Noel.  Dear grandmother of Lindsey, Ryan, Shauna, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Leah (Jeff) Nelson, Dana Toppel (Denice Williams) and Benjamin Toppel (Rainbow Barry).  Mother-in-law of Joe Noel.  Further survived by 3 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation on Monday, September 22, 2014 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 734 Glenview Ave., Wauwatosa from 4 PM until the time of Memorial Mass at 5 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church or the Christ Child Society. 

A resident of Wauwatosa since 1950 when her husband won the Home Show Home.  She graduated from St. Peter and Paul Grade School, Riverside High School, attended Marquette University School of Journalism and School of Liberal Arts, Special Courses at Milwaukee State Teachers College, now UW M and the Hade School of Design.  She was employed a number of years in the personnel department of Smartwear-Emma Lange Inc.  She was a volunteer at the Milwaukee USO while her husband Robert was in the US Army Air Force in Europe during WW II.  She was past president and life member of the Milwaukee Chapter of the Christ Child Society receiving the Red Shoe Award in 1990.  She served 2 terms as president of the National Christ Child Society in 1972-76 and served on the National Board of Directors of the Catholic Charities, USA.  She was a director and past president of the Board of the Milwaukee Catholic Home Foundation and is a life member of the MCH Corporation.  Past President of St. Jude the Apostle Parish Home and School, member of the Woman of St. Jude and the St. Jude 55+ Club, past board member of the St. Charles Boy’s Home, Member and past president of the St Jeanne d’Arc Circle, Member of the Woman’s Club of WI, St. Catherine’s Woman Club and a volunteer at the former Marion Catholic Home.
