Marjorie R. Miller
April 27, 1928 - September 16, 2014
        

Marjorie Ruth Miller (nee Peterson) (formerly DeMunck), age 86, resident of St. Annes Salvatorian Campus, formerly of Fox Point, joined her loving shepherd, Jesus, on Tuesday, September 16, 2014.  Marjorie was born during a snowstorm on April 27, 1928,  in Iron Mountain, MI to  Evald and Anna (nee Lindquist) Peterson. She enjoyed her childhood in the small Swedish community of Commonwealth, WI and later attended UW  Milwaukee. Marjorie enjoyed skiing, outdoor activities, sewing, playing the piano, and many artistic hobbies. She appreciated and loved all of God's creations, especially her pets. Marjorie started two women's investment clubs as a long time member of the Whitefish Bay Women's club. She treasured her lifelong friends from many organizations especially her Bridge Club. Marjorie was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherishing her three daughters, sons-in-law, and many grandchildren. Her faith was also a very important part of her life. She was the Superintendent of the Sunday School at age 17 in Commonwealth, was a charter member of Fox Point Lutheran Church and enjoyed many bible studies. She was known for her splendid sense of humor and great sense of style. Marjorie was a strong, confident, faith-filled and loving person, qualities she instilled in her children and grandchildren.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred D. Miller, her parents, her sister Betty (Roy) Anderson and brother Marvin "Pete" Peterson. She was the loving mother of Barbara DeMunck of Ames, Iowa, Joan Hummert of Milwaukee, and Nancy (Scott) Malchow, of Orono, MN.  Dear grandmother of Lauren Hummert of Port Washington, Natalie (Eaven) Horter (nee Hummert) of San Francisco, CA,  James Hummert of West Palm Beach, FL, and  Anna and Sarah Malchow of Orono, MN; great-grandmother of Bella, Oliver and Vivian. She is also survived by nephews, Steve Anderson, of Eau Claire, Scott Anderson of Black River Falls, nieces Linda (Kevin) Prince (nee Peterson) of Groton, MA, Karen (Robbie) Brown (nee Peterson) of St. Petersburg, FL her former husband, Dr. John "Jack" (Audrey) DeMunck and many other relatives and friends. 

The family will receive friends at FOX POINT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7510 N. Santa Monica Blvd., on Wednesday, September 24, at 10:00 AM with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 AM.
