Quast, Irene

(nee Kunda)  Of Wauwatosa.  Born to Eternal Life, Wednesday August 13, 2014, age 97 years.  Beloved wife of the late Carl H. Quast.  Devoted sister of the late Alice Kunda.  Dear mother of James Quast (Debbie Saley), David (Nancy) Quast and Maryann (Yan) Newenhouse.  Loving grandmother of Katie Quast (Adam Boutin), Sean Quast (Melissa Campbell), Erin Quast and Patrick Quast (Anya Preobrazhenskaya); Anna Quast and Julia (Eric) Koepke; Eric and Carl Newenhouse; great-grandmother of Jameson and Zoe Boutin.  Further survived by cherished friend, Susan Mathison.   

Funeral Service for Irene will be Saturday, August 16 at 11:00 am at SAN CAMILLO CHAPEL, 10200 W. Bluemound Road, Wauwatosa with a reception and further fellowship for all, immediately following.  Interment at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery, Milwaukee.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the House of Peace, 1702 W. Walnut Street, Milwaukee, WI 53205 are appreciated.

Irene was a graduate of Mercy High School, a long-time member of St. Therese Catholic Parish, and an employee of the City of Milwaukee.  She was an avid card-player, whose warm smile, delicious meals, baked goods, and cheese dip were enjoyed by all.  A woman of deep faith, Irene's door and heart were always open to others.
