Ruth M. Sorensen 

Of East Troy, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2014 at the age of 101.  She is the loving mother of Dennis (Peggy) Sorensen, Marilyn “Cookie” (Gary) Sheldon, and Terry (Beth) Sorensen.  Proud grandmother of Kristin, Scott, Bart (Meghan), Pam (Luis), Tamara (John), Craig (Ann) and Rick (Rena).  She is further survived by 14 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Bernard in 1968, and her two sisters Agnes and Lillian.

Ruth loved her Milwaukee Brewers, and especially enjoyed listening to the games on her portable radio right up until 3 days prior to her passing.  She was very proud of her Danish heritage and loved sharing that heritage with her family.  She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 31 at 12:00 NOON at the East Troy Bible Church 2660 North St. (Hwy 20) in East Troy.  There will be a Visitation at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of Service.  Burial will follow at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Mukwonago.  Memorial donations can be made to the East Troy Bible Church or a charity of your choice.
