Boorse, Donald E. Of Glendale. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband for 56 years of Roberta (nee Rehberg). Loving father of Donna (David) Karp, Dawn (Charles) Ford, Daniel (Vickie) Boorse and Mary (Dave) Belvin. Proud grandfather of Michael & Kelley Karp, Alexandria, Brandon, Jake & Max Ford, Anne Boorse and Kyle & Luke Belvin. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 16 from 11AM – 12:30 PM with Funeral Services at 1 PM. Entombment with full military honors to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Memorials in Don’s name should be directed to the Wisconsin Humane Society or the charity of your choice.

Don was the owner and operator of ELCO Truck Rental of Milwaukee. He was a championship midget race car owner and driver. Don was also an IFR rated flight instructor, a commercial pilot and an avid yachtsman, skippering “The Trademark”. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served as a paratrooper in the Airborne Division.
