Of Mukwonago, was born to eternal life Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.  She was 56 years old.  

Jeanine was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 7, 1952, the daughter of Michael and Margaret (nee Berndsen) Zahares.

On Sept. 15, 1979, she married Kurt G. Collath.

Jeanine was a registered nurse at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for 25 years, working in many different departments.  In 2008, she received the Nurse of the Year Award in the Rehabilitation Unit.  Jeanine loved gardening and spending time and traveling with her family.

Survivors include her beloved husband Kurt, her loving daughters Melanie Collath, Kimberly (Andrew) Kowalkowski and Nicole (Matthew) Collath-Nellessen, and her dear sister and brother Cheryl (Gerald) Chojnacki and John (Danita) Zahares.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Jeanine was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Betty Zahares.

Visitation will be held on Fri., Oct. 2, from 4:00 pm until the time of a Funeral Service at 7:00 pm at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Hwy. ES), Mukwonago.  Interment will Sat., 11:00 am at Caldwell Cemetery, Hwy. O south of Hwy. L, Town of Waterford.  Please meet at the cemetery.
