Doug found peace April 5, 2024, at the age of 46 years. Beloved son of John and the late Carolyn (nee Hall). Dear brother of Chris (Cassie). Adored uncle of Dominic, Jayden, Canin, Avary and Jackson. Fond nephew of the late Phyllis Rick. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation Friday, April 26 from 10:00am until time of memorial service at 11:00am at the funeral home. A reception with light refreshments will follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated.

Doug was born in Bridgeport, CT.  He attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 2001 with honors receiving a degree in neuroscience and psychology.  He planned to become a medical doctor but in his senior year of college he was diagnosed with brain cancer. His doctors gave him 3-5 years to live but Doug fought the cancer for 24 years, undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation.  He maintained a positive attitude and approach to life and enjoyed his cat named Jelly, played video games for hours at a time, loved sports especially the Red Sox and Celtics and had a lifelong interest in politics.
