Marion Russell
April 30, 1921 - March 20, 2017

Marion Russell died peacefully on the 20th of March six weeks short of her 96th birthday. She grew up in Oconomowoc and continued to live here most of her life. She was the only child of George and Mamie Russell. Her family, none-the-less, consisted of Zion Episcopal Church members and close neighbors and friends in the city of Oconomowoc. Her life centered on music, painting, and traveling to Ireland. She taught many young people in Oconomowoc to play the guitar. In the 1950's she spent a year or more in Nashville singing and playing with the stars in "Grand Ole Opry". She loved to paint and worked professionally to "colorize" black and white photo prior to color photography. Her greatest joy was traveling in Ireland. The entire Irish culture was a real part of her. Her life will be celebrated in Zion Episcopal Church at 9:30 am on Saturday April 8, 2017. Memorials to the Parish Organ/Music Fund will be appreciated. Visitation in the parish will immediately follow the service.
