I groomed Dorothy’s beloved Sophie for many years and I loved both Dorothy and Sophie so very much. I don’t think she really ever knew how much I cared for her, but I really did. I wish I had told her that when I would see her and Sophie. I will never forget her calling me to let me know she had to put Sophie to sleep. She was heartbroken and had exhausted all efforts in saving her. I lost my last grandma several weeks ago and immediately Dorothy popped in my mind. I found the obituary and my heart just absolutely broke. I am not much for crying but definitely did when I realized she’d moved onto heaven. I know I wasn’t close family or friend really but I just thought it was important to leave my respects for you and your family. She was always very kind to me and I always looked forward to time with her sweet schnauzer Sophie. Fly high miss Dorothy and rejoice in eternal life. Give Sophie some kisses from her favorite groomer.

Like a thief at night you were taken from us. You pulled yourself together after losing Pa and Sophie and you were joyfully starting a new chapter. Then without warning taken from us by a horrendous disease that could not be stopped.
You were my everythiing and I mourn for you every day.

I will never get over this very personal loss. Just when everthing was changing for the better she was struck with this hideous disease that took her life like a thief in the night...what a loving, kind and caring person she was. If you make it to heaven look her up she will welcome you with open arms..I miss her so much!
