Daniel Cieslewicz
September 27, 1933 - February 13, 2017
        

Gently joined the stars in heaven on February 13, 2017 at the age of 83. Daniel is survived by his children Judith Dunn, James (Therese) Cieslewicz, siblings Rose Marie Gustafson, Loretta (Daniel) Hecyk, Annette (John) Tallafuss, and David (Rose) Cieslewicz. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia, parents Leo and Bridget Cieslewicz, two sisters; Ruth and Genevieve, and a brother Conrad. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him greatly.

Daniel was born on September 27, 1933 to Leo and Bridget Cieslewicz of Franzen, WI. He graduated from Wittenberg High School. After growing up near Stevens Point, he moved to Milwaukee and later settled with his family in Germantown. He served as a radar operator in the U.S. Air Force and loved his duty station in Alaska. In addition to farming many years, he was employed at American Motors in Milwaukee and was a mechanical assembler at MG Cutting Systems. Later he held positions at Griffin Dodge and NAPA. He volunteered as a Scout Master with the Boy Scouts, and enjoyed being a member of the Kettle Moraine snowmobile club.  He loved to be in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and gardening. He looked forward each year to be at deer camp and was a steadfast Packers fan.

 

Visitation will be held Thursday February 16, 2017 at Schmidt and Bartelt funeral home, Menomonee Falls from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held Friday at St. Boniface Church, W204 N11840 Goldendale Rd. Germantown, WI 53022 from 11:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association are greatly appreciated.
